Chakra Alegria de Amor Healing Center and Permaculture Institure is a pristine, shining and living 25 hectare parcel of virgin Amazonian rainforest on kilometer 45.5 of the Iquitos – Nauta Carteret (road) in the Loreto region, Peru. It was born of an Ayahuasca vision Omar Gomez had while working with the late shaman Norma Panduro in 2006. He then purchased the first parcel of land with guidance of the vine, so that he could give back and others could experience what was given to him. It lay dormant until 2011 when that vision was revived and Chakra Alegria de Amor Healing Center was born in a partnership with Gerik Spiquel, Cameron Garberoglio, La Madre Ayahuasca, the land and the abundance of medicinal plants. This vision encompasses a healing center, animal rescue shelter and permaculture institute to serve the highest good of humanity, the plant kingdom, the animal kingdom and Mother Gaia herself.
